Our Mission

It is our mission to help our children learn about Christ's love and about the joy of His forgiveness and salvation. We want our children to be able to build a personal relationship with Christ, to learn and understand His word, to grow in their faith as they take their spiritual walk, to build a community with our children and families as we grow and connect in Christ together, and to be able to spread the love of Christ with others to help end relational poverty. 
 
KidsChurch meets every Sunday from 9:15am to 10:10am downstairs in the kids wing from September through May.

New to PPC? 

Here is what to expect for Kids Church! 

KidsChurch is our version of Sunday School, and it occurs each week during our 9:00am worship. Kids start in the sanctuary, and about 15 minutes into the service are invited up for the Kids Connection. They are then dismissed to KidsChurch, where they are checked in by loving, gifted teachers who are background-checked. If it's your first day, accompany your child downstairs briefly to check in at drop-off so we can get to know you! Don't worry about disturbing us when you return to the service - we aren't uptight about that sort of thing!

Safety Information

Kid safety is a top priority to us. All of our volunteers receive annual training and have updated clearances on file. Photos are not posted of children on our socials without consent. FAQ

I have a child with special needs. Is there anything I should know before coming to PPC?
If you have a child with special needs who may need a little extra support to participate in KidsChurch or the Nursery, we'd love to partner with you to make a good experience for them. Please feel free to contact Felicia Nixdorf about how we can best support you!
My child is nervous about being separated from me in a new environment. Can parents/guardians sit in on KidsChurch?
Yes! Parents/Guardians are welcome to join us in KidsChurch as your family adjusts to our space.
How do I stay updated on Children and Family events at PPC?
Use the registration link above or email Felicia to be put on our list.

Are there spaces for children in worship?
Yes! Visit our Pray & Play corner during worship with your littles or stop by the Kid's Table in the gathering space for toys to play with during the service.

How can I get my child baptized?
We schedule baptisms as needed. Reach out to Felicia or a pastor to request a date.

Director of Children & Family Ministries

Hi, I'm Felicia Marie Nixdorf! I have been on staff with PPC's Children's Ministry since 2015. I stepped into my current role in 2021. During the day, I teach middle school choir. I want each child that walks in our doors to know God's love, grace and acceptance.
